In Other News: We Made The News!

From The Aug 31 Archives

The Bout Betties are famous: world wide! It doesn't take much to get us riled up, we are after all derby chicks. But when our little tweet makes it on the front page of an international roller derby news website: we get all kinds of goosebumply giddy feelings!

More so - the tweet about our rockstar team Hard Corps and their next home bout here in sunny San Diego at the Del Mar fairgrounds.

Just a reminder: we are bringing back the party bus and tickets are already on sale here.

The Lost Abbey Party Bus!

The San Diego Derby Dolls Bout Betties and the Lost Abbey Brewery are proud and excited to bring you what will basically bring you to the September 15 bout in Del Mar.

Travel in style with friends to Del Mar - and most importantly don't let the driving to and back from Del Mar put a tamper on your party plans. To buy your tickets with transportation click here. Promo code "LOSTDATE" must be entered to get our date night package deal of $75 for 2 (which includes the 2-way bus ride and bleacher seats).

Show up at the brewery by 5:30, the bus leaves at 6 pm from the Lost Abbey Brewery (155 Mata Way in San Marcos) and will drop you off right at the doors to Wyland Hall without the extra hassles of paying for parking and finding a nearby spot. The bus will then return to Lost Abbey after the bout ends and should arrive by 10:30 pm.

Hard Corps and Banked Beauties Coming Your Way

SDDD Team Hard Corps

September 15 is International Day of Democracy. What is more democratic, I ask you, than a roller derby bout? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone? Two teams. A banked track. They battle it out. Imagine if politicians ran the elections that way? No debates. Just skates. Voter turn-out would be insane! People would rush to register; they’d even pay to vote!
Until this becomes a reality, we invite you to celebrate the International Day of Democracy the good old-fashioned way. Super sweet date night by watching your favorite league come face to face with KC Banked Beauties. Talking about “Banked” you can be tootin’ Hard Corps will be banking on their recent solid victory in Humboldt to make you proud.
The Banked Beauties is a new team. Their inaugural bout was held in April 21 2012 in Independence (very democratic) MO with a victory. Just like our Hard Corps girls who won their first banked track bout. Sounds exciting? You bet!
